Story

Born and raised in the desert, Allison has always found inspiration in the colors and vibrance of Phoenix, Arizona and the history of the magical landscape that surrounds it. Her love of sterling jewelry began as a teenager, when she inherited an heirloom Turquoise ring from her great-grandmother. It was then that Allison fell in love with the art of jewelry making, and dreamed of one day becoming a silversmith.

Allison took the leap toward jewelry design after exploring a lost wax casting class in college. Though her first pieces were made of just copper and brass, the scope of possibility within the medium thrilled her. The next step in her endeavor was apprenticing with the inspiring scuplture-jewelry designer, Heidi Abrahamson, who soon became her most influential mentor.

Now a full-time mother, designer and business owner, Allison works in sterling silver and is excited to start her new journey exploring with gold. Desert Dust jewelry has a story to tell for many lifetimes- a little piece of the desert made just for you and those that follow.
